Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Moneyplus Financial Services Limited (“Udhaarbox”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Udhaarbox website and, once launched, the Udhaarbox mobile application (together, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity information: full name, date of birth, PAN, Aadhaar, address, mobile number, email address, and postal code.
  • Financial and employment information: employment type, income details, bank account information, and bank statements, used to assess creditworthiness and eligibility.
  • KYC documents: copies of identity and address proof submitted during onboarding, and a live selfie for face-match verification.
  • Device and usage information: device identifiers, IP address, app permissions you grant, and crash or diagnostic logs, used to keep the Platform secure and functioning correctly.
  • Camera and location: requested only during KYC, to capture documents and verify your address.

We do not collect or store biometric data.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • verify your identity and complete KYC as required by law;
  • assess your creditworthiness and loan eligibility;
  • provide, service, and communicate with you about your loan (disbursal, repayment reminders, statements);
  • detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and other unlawful activity;
  • respond to your queries and provide customer support; and
  • comply with applicable law and regulatory requirements, including reporting to the RBI and credit bureaus.

3. Third-party sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Credit bureaus, for underwriting and credit reporting — currently CIBIL (TransUnion), Experian, Equifax, CRIF High Mark.
  • Lending and sourcing partners, once finalized, to facilitate loan origination and servicing.
  • KYC and identity-verification providers, to verify PAN, Aadhaar, and other documents you submit.
  • Payment processors and banking partners, to disburse and collect loan repayments.
  • Regulators, courts, and law enforcement, where required by law or a valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide our services, including for the duration of any active loan. After a loan is closed, we retain KYC records, loan agreements, and transaction records for the period required under RBI regulations and other applicable law. Where retention is not legally required, you may request deletion of your data — see our Account Deletion policy for the process.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or an update to your personal information at any time. Where our processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent, though this may affect our ability to continue providing services and does not affect processing already carried out, or data we're legally required to retain. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 8, or see our Account Deletion policy to request deletion of your data.

6. Cookies and tracking

The Platform uses essential and functional cookies to operate correctly and remember your preferences. We do not sell cookie or browsing data to third parties for advertising. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Platform function.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls limiting who can view your data, and confidentiality obligations for our employees and contractors. Your data is stored on servers located in India. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to continually improve our safeguards.
